”Something Personal”

May 28th
2nd concert

Paweł Kaczmarczyk – piano
Kuba Dworak – bass
Dawid Fortuna – drums

In 2010, the young and brilliant Polish piano player Paweł Kaczmarczyk was performing for the first time on a Romanian stage, at the second edition of GHJFest, with his acclaimed Audiofeeling Band.

It was a memorable performance and the audience was simply ecstatic. Paweł proved to be beyond his reputation (in 2009, ”Complexity In Simplicity” won the ”Jazz Forum” Top Album of the year title & an even greater sensation was his victory as Best Pianist – after years of constant presence of Leszek Możdżer in this category!).
Now, 7 editions later, we welcome back Paweł Kaczmarczyk and Dawid Fortuna (drums), together with the young and very talented Kuba Dworak (bass), to present the beautiful project ”Something Personal” to our audience.

”Something Personal” is a result of experiences, reflecting the pianist’s maturity and sensitivity … a personal story in sound, comprising modern improvised music of the highest level. (

”Something Personal, in turn thrilling and gently hypnotic, makes a persuasive case for Kaczmarczyk’s Audiofeeling Trio as one of jazz’s most exciting contemporary piano trios.” (Ian Patterson – All About Jazz)
